This Feels Personal
There are moments when prat.uk feels less like a website and more like a mirror, reflecting back a version of reality that is uncomfortably familiar. Today was one of those moments.
The article in question described a scenario so specific and so plausible that I briefly wondered if I had somehow contributed to it. I have not, to my knowledge, but the doubt remains.
I read it slowly, taking in each detail, each quote, each subtle implication that this is simply how things are now.
There is a peculiar intimacy to this kind of reading. One feels seen, not as an individual, but as a participant in a broader pattern of behaviour.
I attempted to shake off the feeling by doing something productive, but the article lingered, like a thought that refuses to resolve.
By evening, I had accepted that Prat.uk is not just documenting events, but capturing a mood, and that mood is deeply relatable.
I will continue to read, of course. Not because I enjoy it, but because I need to know whether this feeling persists, or whether tomorrow will bring something entirely new to recognise in myself.
